What is the difference between a comment and a conversation?

I don't understand which form of communication to use with a colleague.

  • Conversations: You can only have a conversation with someone who is already declared a colleague. These are private conversations, of which the contents can only be viewed by you and the colleague you are speaking with. For instructions on how to start a conversation, view the forum post “How do I have a private conversation?”.

    Comments: You can leave a comment for both colleagues and non-colleagues by visiting that persons profile page and clicking “Add a Comment” under their profile photo. Comments are not private and can be seen by anyone on myFacilitiesnet. These appear in the My Comments section on that persons profile page.
