Now that you've joined myfacilitiesnet, what's next? For starters, here are a few tips that will help jump-start the networking process:
*After retrieving your password from your e-mail and signing in, go to the top-right corner of your browser window and click on your user name. This action will take you to your profile page.
*Once on your profile page, we strongly suggest adding a personal photo and including professional information. To do so, click "Edit Profile" (below the search box with the magnifying glass) in the top-right corner of your profile page.
*Once in edit mode, you can add a photo by clicking the link below the default avatar ("Change avatar").
*Along the right side of the edit profile page, you can add professional memberships, certifications, education, work history, and more.
Once you're done editing your profile ...
*MAKE SURE TO SAVE YOUR CHANGES BY CLICKING "SAVE PROFILE" IN THE TOP-RIGHT CORNER OF YOUR EDIT PROFILE PAGE.
*The more information you enter into your profile, the more interaction you likely will have with your colleagues.

We've redesigned this social-networking site to make it easier for facility professionals to connect with colleagues and ask questions about the latest FM strategies and building products and technologies. We've created forums at the top of the page under the "Management Forum" and "Technology Forum" categories. In those areas, you'll find discussions related to technologies such as HVAC, lighting and roofing, as well as dialogue focused on budgeting, staffing and other management issues. We also have a General Forum for those discussions that don't quite fit under one of our designated categories.
We hope you take advantage of these forums and network with your colleagues.
Since this site is created for you and fueled by your activity, we always appreciate your feedback. If there are ways you think we could make the site easier to use, please send me a message, and we'll do what we can to accommodate your requests.
We hope you enjoy the site and, as always, please reach out with questions or concerns.
