  • Hello, I work on the supply side of facilities management. Every day I speak with and work with facilities managers to help them reduce their costs and at the same time be more responsible to the environment and their community. As of today we all know that there are products to help become and stay green. On the LEEDs list for have a green facility, my company, AmeriSource, can get you up to 16 points, which is supstantial for a supply company.

However, there are areas that are very difficult to find green or eco-friendly materials to keep public buildings free from grafitti, scuff marks, paint, etc. Usually, everyone uses aerosols and hope it works the  way they want, without removing or scarring the surface.

We know that aerosols are not eco-friendly, although aerosol manufacturers are trying. And yes, I do sell them. But is there a product that can get off permanent marker from a painted wall without having to call for a painter? Is there something simple, easy to use, that does not harm the environment; something that is safe to use around children and the elderly? Yes, there is, and ther is only one place I know of where you can get it. That's right, from me.

Now you might think, "This guy is trying to sell me something." And you would be correct. However, to be fair all I ask is that you pay for the postage. Let me send the product to you for free. In return you tell me what it will not remove. I know what it can do and it is the most amazing thing I have witnessed in a long time. I freaked out my wife by taking a permanent marker and writing on the walls of our house. It was either going to work or I was painting our house. I simply applied the product, took a try towel and simply wiped it off. Luckily for me I had enough to clean all the markings off.

Take my challenge. See if it works for yourself. All I ask is that you pay for the postage for the first applicator. What have you got to loose? An ugly facility, that's what.

  • Richard,

I see your company sells some ice-melting products. I work for NaturaLawn of America in Frederick, MD, and I sell an environmentally friendly ice melt that we've sold in various parts of the country for 16 years. Do you know to whom I would speak at your company about AmeriSource giving consideration to carrying our ice melt?

    Regards,
