Yes it is the time for FM&amp;#39;s to shine but will you be appreciated, No. If FM&amp;#39;s are lucky they will endear themselves to the Management above but I am not confident that will lead to additional monies in the FM&amp;#39;s pocket or budget. As for LEED AP, my opinion is that is a moniker that helps give me credibility in consultanting but the certification will not help a FM. The concept obtained by reading and learning LEED issues will be helpful to a FM but costly to implement. LEED construction projects help a Contractor because callbacks are reduced by Commissioning. And Commissioning helps an FM understand that his/her systems will function properly once we reach Substational Completion of a project. Hope this helps. Call me or email me if you wish.
