Karen- Your "Cool Roof" article were excellent. Keep it up.
Karen,
Good article. To be fair, you should point out that a cool roof will save an owner on the A/C cost, but add cost for heating (less beneficial heat absorbed in the winter). In northern climates where heating costs far outweigh A/C costs a cool roof will raise an owners overall annual operating costs.
I agree with RayH, the cool roof would be very beneficial to those in the southern half of the United States but not the northern half. If you are an Indianapolis roofing contractor, you are cold most of the year and that isn't very cost effective for your customers. If I were in Alabama, I would be all over this.
