But we had over 600 people watch as 18 brave/stupid contestants vied for a Grill and other prizes donated by Grainger. I told them that they were taking their own risk and could hold me or anyone else but themselves liable if they could not handle the heat. We also had paramedics on standby as we measured forehead temps of people with an infrared thermographic camera.
This event help break down the silos between the public and FM world as the general public got an up close look at the infrared camera brought by Stockton Infrared.
