I would like to hear from facilities engineers and managers on how they keep up with ADA " SIGNAGE " requirements for signage in their operations and facilities. What variations have been found from
state to state or county or city that are frustrating.. Also what part of their time is spent on contacting agencies and how they handle that task when required to for new construction, alterations,
modifications.
Items like this I would search the internet for "ADA signage" in this case to find www.stopsignsandmore. com or www.fastsigns.com. Try those if you feel a need but if you have an architect or engineer on your bill for an addition, they should have the responsibility to provide as required by the government.
ADA is a federal requirement and local inflections on ADA should not be of concern unless the local authority wants more than the government asks for. This does not happen too often. Hope this helps.

I have found that the architect or builder will handle any signage problems. I have run into the same thing though, with the city wanting more than what federal or State requires, so you have to make them happy or they will most certainly make you sad!
