I just got off the phone with Bill Kosik, the presenter for today's "How Green Data Centers Cut Costs and Raise Reliability" Webcast and he's looking forward to a lively presentation. I was really interested to hear about the concepts he'll be addressing, including some intriguing data on municipal water supply and discharge costs for data centers -- significant because when energy use is reduced (generally) so is water consumption. It's a whole new way (for me, at least!) to think about data centers' impact on the environment -- and sustainable solutions for the future.
